Acticon Engineering, P.C. was
established in 1995 by Mauricio Cueva-Eguiguren, PE, CFEI and provides
electrical engineering & design, forensic investigations and expert
testimony services associated with the client's electrical
needs. Since its inceptions, Acticon has remained
innovative,
progressive and, as such, has continued to grow. Projects
have
ranged from, new or upgrades of small-scale electrical
systems for residential, commercial, industrial and utility markets to
multimillion dollar complex facilities.
Based
on its extensive experience in forensic investigative analysis, Acticon
provides cause and origin investigations associated with various
electrical equipment failures due to accidents, fires or natural
phenomana including providing expert testimony. The experience in
expert testimony includes, deposition and in-court testimony in federal
state and local courts.
In addition, Acticon's experience includes providing
expert opinions as a court appointed arbitrator about disputes between
tenants and landlords related to energy usage (electrical and gas) in
shopping malls, as it was the case in a recent New York City case.
In
addition, Acticon experience includes developing an Oil Leak Detection
System (LDS) for automatic leak detection for new or existing high
voltage underground transmission piped-type cables for which U.S.
Patent No. 5,883,815 was granted.
